Selling courses and instructors

Payments (Stripe)

Go to Settings → Payments and add your Stripe keys. Learners can then add courses to the cart, apply coupon codes and pay by card at checkout. They get access as soon as the payment goes through, and their receipts appear in My account → Orders.

Without keys the checkout runs as the demo and charges nothing.

Instructors

An admin makes a user an instructor under Users → edit → "Teaches as", choosing which of the courses' instructor names they teach as. The instructor dashboard then shows that instructor's courses, sales, learners and progress, assignments to grade and learners' questions to answer. Admins see every course.

Admin overview

The Admin page shows the site's numbers, courses waiting to be published and the newest learners. It is visible to admins only.

Messages

Learners write to your team from My account → Messages. Your team answers under Messages in the dashboard. Each conversation is private to that learner. The learner gets a notification and an email when you answer, and your team gets an email (and a count on the menu) when a new message arrives.

Forms

Newsletter sign-ups and contact messages are saved as Enquiries in your dashboard, with email settings and spam protection.
