Install from the dashboard

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme, choose the SkillForge .zip file, click Install Now, then Activate.
  2. A notice appears at the top of the dashboard. Click Install & activate SkillForge Core. This installs the companion plugin that comes with the theme and opens the demo import.

The notice needs permission to install plugins. If you don't see it, upload the companion plugin .zip from the theme's plugins folder under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, then activate it.

Install by FTP/SFTP

  1. Unzip the theme into wp-content/themes/.
  2. Unzip the companion plugin (from the theme's plugins folder) into wp-content/plugins/.
  3. Activate both in the dashboard: the theme under Appearance → Themes, and the plugin under Plugins.

Keep the SkillForge Core plugin active. The theme relies on it for its sections, data and features.
