License, updates and translation
Updated Nov 6, 2026
Activate your license
After you buy Pristine you get a license key in your wow-themes.com account.
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Settings → License.
- Paste your license key and click Activate license.
The page then shows Active on this site and how many of your plan's sites are in use. On a live site, activate the license first: the demo import and the theme's own screens open once it is active.
- Local and staging copies (localhost, *.local, .test, staging.) never need a license and never use up a site.
- Moving to another site? Click Remove license from this site to free its seat, then activate it on the new site.
- The license is checked once a day.
Updates
With an active license, new versions of Pristine arrive under Dashboard → Updates like any other theme update. Your pages, records and settings are kept.
Translation
Every word of the theme and its companion plugin can be translated. The .pot files are in each one's languages folder. Use a plugin such as Loco Translate (free), or Poedit, to make your language's file. The words on your pages can also be changed directly in Elementor.
Right-to-left languages
When your site's language is a right-to-left one (for example Arabic, Hebrew, Persian or Urdu, under Settings → General → Site Language), Pristine switches to its right-to-left layout automatically.
