The Charity admin screen

Updated Oct 30, 2026

Kindle adds a Charity menu to your WordPress dashboard. It is one modern screen for everything the site keeps. Editors and administrators can use it.

What is in it

  • Overview: how the charity is doing, with recent donations and messages.
  • Causes: every cause as a card with its picture and what it has raised. Set a cause's Last day to give and the "days left" on the site counts down to it.
  • Donations: every gift, once or monthly, with its cause and donor.
  • Events: set an event's Starts and Ends dates and the site shows its day and month.
  • Stories: your impact stories.
  • Donor wall: the names shown on the wall of kindness.
  • Team & FAQs: the people and questions shown on the about and FAQ pages.
  • Messages: what visitors send from the site's forms.

Use the search box and filters at the top of each list, click a card to edit it, or click Add to create a new one. Changes show on the site straight away.

Categories for causes, stories and events are under Cause categories, Story categories and Event types. Payment settings is where you add your Stripe keys.

Forms, emails and spam

  • Form fields: change the fields each form asks for, with no code.
  • Email settings: choose who receives each form's email and what it says.
  • Spam protection: add your own Google reCAPTCHA keys to keep bots out of your forms.

A message sent from the site appears under Messages as New. Mark it Replied or Archived to keep the list tidy.
