Getting started

Updated Nov 6, 2026

Thank you for choosing Haven. A gentle, reassuring WordPress theme for therapists, counsellors and psychology practices, with services, therapists and consultation requests. This guide covers installing the theme, setting your site up exactly like the demo, and running it afterwards.

What's included

  • Haven Pathways: the theme, as a .zip file you upload to WordPress.
  • Haven Pathways Core: the companion plugin. It comes inside the theme package (in its plugins folder) and adds the site's features and the one-click demo import.
  • This documentation.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.0 or newer
  • PHP 8.0 or newer
  • Elementor (free, from WordPress.org)

The demo import installs the required plugins for you, or you can install them yourself from Plugins → Add New.

Next steps

  1. Install the theme
  2. Activate your license
  3. Import the demo
