Frequently asked questions
Does Kindle accept real donations?
Yes. Add your Stripe keys under Settings → Payments, and donors can give preset or custom amounts, once or monthly. Without keys the site runs in demo mode and charges nothing.
Do I need Elementor Pro?
No. Kindle works with the free Elementor plugin, which the demo import installs for you.
Can I make my site look exactly like the demo?
Yes. After activating the theme and the Kindle Core plugin, go to Appearance → One Click Demo Import. It sets up the pages, images, menus, colours and fonts.
Where do form submissions go?
Contact, newsletter, volunteer, fundraiser and RSVP forms are saved as Enquiries in your WordPress dashboard, with email notifications and spam protection.
Can I manage causes, events and stories myself?
Yes. Causes, stories, events, donors and team members are regular WordPress content, and your pages update automatically.
Is the demo content real?
No. The organization, figures, stories and people in the demo are fictional. Replace them with your own verified information before launch.
What are the requirements?
WordPress 6.0 or newer, PHP 8.0 or newer and the free Elementor plugin.
Will theme updates overwrite my changes?
No, as long as you edit with Elementor. Those changes are stored in your database. Avoid editing the theme or plugin files directly.
