Tours, destinations and bookings

Updated Nov 3, 2026

Wayfare adds a Site manager menu to your WordPress dashboard. It is one modern screen for everything the site keeps.

Tours and destinations

  • Tours: each tour's name, destination, price, duration, category, rating, gallery, day-by-day itinerary (one day per line), and what is included and not included.
  • Destinations: each destination's name, region, type, picture, highlights and best time to visit.

Click Add to create one, or a card to edit it. Changes show straight away on the home page, the tours and destinations pages and each tour and destination page.

How booking works

  1. On a tour's page the traveler chooses a date and the number of travelers and clicks Book this trip.
  2. The Booking page goes through three steps: trip summary, lead traveler and add-ons, and review.
  3. To send the request, the traveler signs in or creates a free account. Their choices are kept while they do.

The price is always worked out on your server from the tour's own price.

The bookings desk

Every request waits under Site manager → Bookings:

  • Confirm or Decline it, with a note for the traveler.
  • Later, mark it Completed, or Cancel it.

The traveler gets an email at every step and sees the status under My account.
